I guess I called it magical that day coz it got to do with something later that evening. It was another mundane day of meetings after meetings..reviewing workplans and all that jazz. In d afternoon, I managed to kill my boredom by playing Taboo with my gal colleagues and it was sure damn fun to let d time passed by with laughter, humour n clamour at the staff lounge. Finally, it was time to head Lagun Sari at Joo Chiat for our annual staff dinner...hmm...nice place n d food was even nicer!! My parents had been there for a couple of times for wedding reception but it was really d first time for me. Ok..back to food...i regretted for not taking d chicken salad more coz it was really, really delicious...a mix of chopped chillies n slices of mangoes n chicken chucks..wow...n d mushroom cream soup was equally nice..thick n lots of chopped mushrooms. I took fried rice, meat balls, to my disappointment coz they were so tasteless, mushroom with broccoli..hmm...i love it n d green chicken gravy..wish i could take more but my plate was so small n my food was piling up so juz made do with what I had. Simply appetizing!! Felt so good catching up with my colleagues n this will be my last year, after 3 years, in the staff welfare committee so i hope to have a good end.....AND SO..i did....i picked a number for d lucky draw...52..hmm..didnt look or sound lucky to me..ok..let's be positive...d number 5 is my guy's birth day n it's my seat number in d staff room...hmmmm...d place was cold n i had THAT cramp a bit that night, juz enduring it by drinking warm tea. My staff welfare chairman started d ball rolling by announcing d 30th to 2oth lucky numbers n majority of d winners wore black...hmmm..black is a lucky colour that nite i guess. Then we had a break. When d draw resumed, it was my turn to hand d vouchers over to my principal who picked d numbers. Just when d 10th prize , a $100 voucher from Robinsons, was announced, it dawned to me that it was my 52!!!!!!!I felt so damn lucky suddenly!! AAWWWW!!Part of my attire was black so i had d luck i guess.52...5 times 2 that gives me 10.hahahahah!!!that made my night. TEN U (thank you)!!!!
